Student Dining

TCU offers a variety of dining options to its students. From Market Square, our all-you-care-to-eat facility, to the conveniently located Chick-fil-A Express, to retail dining in the King Family Commons, to restaurant row on University Drive, TCU Dining Plans enable students to eat on- and off-campus with a swipe of their TCU ID Card.

Students living on campus choose from a variety of meal plans each semester.

Resident Plans
Flex Plans

Flex 19

  • 19 meals per week
  • All swipes can be used at most locations on campus for a meal, (Details at tcudining.tcu.edu). Meals in Market Square are still all you can eat.
  • Campus Cash and Frog Bucks.

The Flex 19 is the required meal plan for all residential first -year.

Residential Students with at least sophomore standing have the option of the Flex 17 or of the Flex plans, detailed below.

Flex 12

  • 12 meals per week
  • All swipes can be used at all locations on campus for a meal (entrée, side and beverage). Meals in Market Square are still all you can eat.
  • Campus Cash and Frog Bucks.

Flex 7

  • 7 meals per week
  • All swipes can be used at all locations on campus for a meal (entrée, side and beverage). Meals in Market Square are still all you can eat.
  • Campus Cash and Frog Bucks.

Limited Plans

The Limited 50 meal plan is available to on-campus students living in university apartments.

NOTE: 

Any Meal Plan Campus Cash, Meal Plan Frog Bucks, or Frog Bucks added outside of a meal plan will roll over ONLY from the fall semester to the spring semester.

At the end of the spring semester, all accounts will be cleared. Unused Meal Plan Frog Bucks and Meal Plan Campus Cash (the funds that come with a meal plan) are not refundable; consider those funds “use it or lose it”.

Non-residential students may select any residential meal plan or select a meal plan tailored for commuting students.

The  Flex 7, is designed to take advantage of the new King Family Commons Building in Worth Hills with its abundance of Campus Cash.

The  Limited 50 plan offers a unique dining solution for the commuting student. It includes 50 Market Square meals to be used at your discretion during the semester.

Registration for commuter meal plans begins approximately one month before the beginning of each semester. Commuter students should receive an email from housing around this time.
Commuter meal plans are purchased by visiting my.tcu.edu.

TCU Meal Plans have up to three distinct components:

Meal Swipe Access

Students enter Market Square, our all-you-can-eat dine-in only dining facility using a card swipe.
The Flex 19, Flex 12, and Flex 7 also offer a meal swipe outside of Market Square at any dining facility on campus.

Campus Cash

Campus Cash is “pocket change” that can only be spent on campus at any dining or snack bar location.

Frog Bucks

Frog Bucks are “pocket change” that can be spent on or off-campus at participating restaurants.

 

Employee dining plans include

  • 50 meals at Market Square

To learn more about the cost of the plan, payroll deduction options, and how to purchase an employee meal plan please log onto your my.tcu.edu account and locate and click on the “Employee Meal Plan” icon.

NOTE: Only employees working with the university at least 75% of the time may choose the payroll deduction option. Those falling outside this guideline may purchase a meal plan in full.

Employee Frog Bucks

Purchase Frog Bucks and use your ID card like a debit card at all on-campus locations and many off-campus establishments.

Departments may purchase a Department Dining Plan which consists of 50 meals. Multiple department dining plans can be added to a single department dining card.

Departments may purchase Department Campus Cash.

Departmental funds may NOT be used to purchase Frog Bucks.
